Heute dachten wir uns, wir sollten mal nen anstäniges „engl. breakfast“ haben. Also ab in die city zum nächstes Tesco shoppen und zurück zum Hafen. Nach halbstündiger Braterei gab es dann kleine Würstchen, gebackene Bohnen, Bacon und Rührei; dazu krosses Weissbrot, diverse Sößchen und Kaffee! Nach diesem gelungenen Mal fingen wir dann an, unsere To-Do-Liste abzuarbeiten. Tim hat die Solarzelle verkabelt, Mathijs hat seinem Getriebe neues Öl spendiert, Claus konnte das Funkprobelm unter Zuhilfenahme telefonischer Hilfe von Micha (lunatronic) lösen…..: es war einfach nen Stecker raus…PEINLICH!!! Und Nkita….hm…was hat sie heut so getrieben…:geduscht, geschlafen und im Netz gesurft! Aber nun bereitet sie gerade das Abendessen für uns alle auf „Lada Depmark“ zu: Smoked Chicken – Salad…wir sind gespannt wie die Flitzebogen. Angesichts der vorherrschenden Wetterprognosen planen wir, uns morgen abend, sobald der Wind auf West dreht Richtung Süden davon zu machen…. So far, cheers…..   PS.: Seit gestern nacht sind auch nen paar Bilder online…

Once upon a time we woke up, after a rough trip sailing for at least thirty hours, in this peaceful village called Lowestoft. When I got out the boat the sun was shining and I felt a soft summerbreeze in my hair. After a couple of hours the weather changed completely, the sky got dark and it started to rain and the wind was picking up, so we had coffee and hot chocolate with rum in Kira with Claus and Tim. So after a short while we decided to eat in downtown and we went to subway where Mathijs and Claus decided to go to another place called „Friday´s fish and chips“ and let Tim and me behind in the subway but they got back in 2 minutes dissapointed about the „Friday´s fish and chips“ doesn´t serve fish. So after we all ate at the subway we went to a odd pub where no music was playing to drink some beer. There we met a big British man who wanted to talk German to all of us, even though Claus and Tim couldn´t understand it, so what about me and my dad? So we went to Kira and drinking beer.[…]

Guestwiter, Nikita and Mathijs fromLada Depmak. The dutch boat had a again motorproblems :-), but the wind was picking up and we decided to sail. Tanker Kira sailed fast away at a high speed. The wind changes to south so we go west. The wind is really getting stronger, and waves are growing. The wind blows up in the direction of two huge oilplatforms, and get warnings from the gurad ship. We (Lada Depmak) now really (finally) sail away from tanker Kira. Gale warning from English Goastguard, 8 Bft! My first storm experience. Waves are 3 m, sometimes 5 m, and breaking. Every hour we contact Kira, and we exchange positions. They give us advice how to handle this storm, abut sails etc. I feel stupid that I brought my daughter in this situation. Lada Depmak seems to handle this well, the boat is good to control, with just a tiny sail we´re going fast even with the breaking waves. Kira can test the storm sails. 34 hours after leaving Amsterdam, we reach the harbour of Lowestoft. Kira is still at sea, they´re helping a catamaran in need, but help is no longer needed. 4 hours later Kira arrives, but[…]
